We started two new traditions - a manner / life lesson each week and a capital letter each week.The letter is just for kicks - a little exposure to letters and words that start with them and because Isla is interested. I'm not a fan of pushing any of this too early because I want Isla to be engaged and motivated when she learns everything in school.
The manner lesson is because we all could use a little review. :-) This week is, "Say Thank You." It is a great dinner topic and having it up on the board is a good reminder throughout the day.
If I can I'd like to add an activity related to nature each week too.
