I should probably save these for days I don't take pictures, but they were all taken on the 9th, so I'll share them today...

Isaac is sitting up in a tripod sit! Yey (this is actually from Easter.)Isaac has a new favorite way to hold his pacis.

Isla playing with her lambs & bristle blocks. We have a new deal - I get to dress her every other day. I let her give me some input, but I have final say on my day. It is nice to see the cute coordinating clothes actually together in one outfit, but also nice that she has freedom to dress up as wildly as she likes on "her" day.Isaac is coordinated too!


The best part of Easter?!?! Isaac's BFF, Sam, was born. I was thrilled to meet this handsome little guy on Monday night. He's bigger than Isaac but felt just tiny in my arms...just over 1 day old. I got to hold him for an hour and he slept soundly most of the time and even smiled at me. It was precious. I am really looking forward to Isaac and Sam's adventures.

April 8, 2012The Easter Bunny left picture clues & Isla went on a scavenger hunt to find her basket! Then we went up to her cousin's house for brunch, an egg hunt, and some candy fueled wildness.

We celebrated Easter early with a Saturday children's service and brunch with Isaac's God Parents and an egg hunt for Isla and Charlotte. It was a beautiful day. This is a picture of all the children going up on stage to walk through "the tomb." The service was interactive and Isla had a wonderful time waving her butterfly fan and shouting "Halleluiah!" It was really cute and really touching.Here's Isla and Isaac in their Easter finery. I had to take the seems out on Isla's dress because it was so snug and my mom had to alter Ike's shirt because it was so huge. but don't they look adorable!

#97 DOC Band

Isaac's DOC band arrived today and we went & had it fitted. He seems fairly oblivious so far. People have been stopping me everywhere I go to ask about it. They are all very concerned about him. I smile and explain the band, but inside I am thinking, "Really it is 90% cosmetic, and falls a long way down on our list of concerns, way below heart problems, intestinal problems, major surgery, and failure to thrive..." (& speaking of, doesn't he appear to be thriving!)

I have some pictures for this date but they are on Gretchen's camera. They involve two amped up little girls dyeing eggs, tables, concrete and each other, as well as decorating some Gorgeous Easter Bonnets!

Here he is...& your are seeing this 2 days before he actually got this DOC band! (Taken 4-6)
It is very light weight and a tiny bit flexible. Andrew & I are treating it like our 3rd baby. Other than some skin irritation at first Isaac is doing very well.
